There is plenty to like about the Edinburgh University Shakespeare Company’s full-blooded, modern dress production of Romeo and Juliet at the Pleasance Theatre, to Saturday.
Dolly comes back!
SLO bring Dolly back to King’s:
Southern Light Opera are bringing a classic home this week, when they open their production of the great musical Hello, Dolly! at the King’s on Wednesday 7 March 2018.

After the tribulations and cancellations due to the snow last week, all productions in Edinburgh this week are scheduled to go ahead, thanks to much hard work behind the scenes.
Dolly Drops a Date
The latest on snow-affected performances in Edinburgh:
After the disruptions of the week, most productions will be going ahead this weekend, although the knock-on effect of the snow is that SLO is opening Hello Dolly! at the King’s a day later than planned.
Sunshine cast on Leith
Full casting announced for Proclaimers musical:
Steven Miller and Paul-James Corrigan have been announced as the main leads in the Proclaimers musical, Sunshine on Leith, touring to the King’s in May.

Snow news was bad news for Edinburgh’s theatres on both Wednesday 28 and Thursday 1 March, with only one production continuing on either night.

Hidden Door, the non-for-profit, multi arts festival has put out an open call for volunteers for its 2018 edition, taking place at Leith Theatre from Friday 25 May to Sunday 3 June 2018.
