Captivate Theatre looking for young male cast

Captivate Theatre has put out an open casting call for young male performers for its Edinburgh fringe 2017 production of Les Miserables (Schools Edition).

Auditions for the production, which will be the slightly shortened Schools Edition of the long-running show, will be held on Saturday 11 February 2017 at Fettes College from 9.30am. They are open to boys aged between 16 and 19.

The performing licence for Les Mis (Schools Edition) stipulates that all performers must be 19 or under at the time of performance, they must also be at school, have just left school or be at college. Unfortunately, those who are already at university cannot be considered.

The company’s previous productions of the show have been very well received and provide an opportunity for budding your performers with a penchant for singing as well as acting to experience this sung-through musical about the French revolution.

The show will run for ten performances at “an exciting central venue” according to Captivate, who are not revealing full details at the moment. In previous years, the company has staged shows in the George Square Spiegeltent and in the Museum

Anyone interested in joining the Captivate Crusade should email the company on captivatetheatre@gmail.com for more details.
