Jack Whitehall brings Stood Up to Edinburgh

Comedian Jack Whitehall is to bring his Stood Up stand-up show to Edinburgh’s Playhouse for one night only in November, with tickets on sale here today, Friday 20 September 2019.

Whitehall’s Playhouse appearance on Monday 18 November 2019 is the beginning of a solid week of comedy at the Playhouse ahead of the start of the Lion King’s 17 week run from December 5.

Jack Whitehall: Stood Up

Jack Whitehall said: “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be going back out on the road. There’s no feeling like standing up on stage in front of an arena full of strangers, and still being able to hear your dad heckle you.”

Whitehall is widely celebrated for his hit show, Travels With My Father, now in its second season, which features Jack and his father Michael touring the globe, clashing over what they want to see and do on their travels.

The same week will include three nights from Tim Minchin with Back on Tuesday 19, Wednesday 20 and Saturday 23 November. The Saturday date is sold out, but there are still a small number of excellent seats available on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Romesh Ranganathan is popping up with his “most brutally honest show yet”, The Cynic’s Mixtape, in the middle of Minchin’s dates. He is appearing on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 November 2019. There is reasonable availability for both dates.
