VPT mark Cinco de Mayo

vpt 10 cinco de mayo600By Thom Dibdin

The Village Pub Theatre return from their trip up the town with a night of new writing marking the May Day bank holiday titled, in a blinding flash of inspiration: Cinco de Mayo.

And to top up of the bill, the ever-active VPT collective are adding to their usual home baking with a pinata.

The pieces to be performed script-in-hand are all loosely based around pride and heritage. There are new names amongst the familiar writers whose plays will all be directed by Caitlin Skinner.

The actors, plays and playwrites have now been confirmed. Alan McKenzie, Jonathan Holt, Kim Gerard, Emma Hartley-Miller and Nicola Cully will be performing in:
◉ Threads by Helen Shutt,
◉ Burrito by Samuel Jameson,
◉ Saint Clarabella by Sam Siggs,
◉ Medio Pollito and The Jesus of Leith by Louise E Knowles,
◉ High Riser by Sophie Good and
Eurovision-ish by James Ley.
