The adaptation of Homer’s classic 24 book poem by Chris Hannan is a great piece of theatre that powerfully tells the story of The Iliad.
The actors all play their roles flawlessly as the well written script and the wonderfully told story unfolds; you begin to feel immersed in this world of gods, war and heroes.

The depiction of the gods makes for a joyful and slightly comedic tale of war and betrayal. The long duration and content of the story makes it, in my opinion, suitable for ages 11 and up.
The set is big, bold and beautiful. The props and acting make for an incredible work of art that should be given all the praise that it deserves.
I highly recommend The Iliad to those who have read the books, those who are interested in Greek mythology or just a theatre lover. So just stop whatever you’re doing right now and go and see it.
