Ghosties and ghoulies and interpersonal sibling drama abound in Moving On, a new musical from Happy Sad Productions playing at Braw’s Hill Street Street Theatre for the first half of the Fringe.
Good For You

Good For You, from Something’s Afoot Theatre Company and New Celts at theSpace on the Mile on odd dates throughout the Fringe, is a cleverly written, well acted, thoroughly absorbing piece.

Nightmares by Sandy Jack

Sandy Jack returns to the Fringe under the auspices of Lynch Lovers with new show Nightmares at theSpace on the Mile. Described as a “surreal/horror anthology” inspired by Jack’s own nightmares, David Lynch, and The Twilight Zone, it is frankly an incoherent mess.

There is commitment and an intriguing central premise in Backyard Alchemy and New Celts’ Romance On Repeat – at theSpace on the Mile on odd dates throughout the Fringe. However, the end result does not always convince.

Edinburgh Graduate Theatre Group’s late show at the Royal Scots Club, Lucy Kirkwood’s The Children, is a bleak and thoughtful look at everyday life in the wake of a disaster, and the choices its survivors must make.
Mushroomification (Legs, Legs, Legs)
★★★☆☆ Hilarious
Mushroomification (Legs, Legs, Legs) from Heads on Crooked is a surreal romp through the prevalent conversation of collectivism versus individualism, running at the Mash House for the first weekend of the Fringe.
Legally Blonde
★★★★★ Platinum
Legally Blonde is given a first-class treatment by Captivate Theatre at Edinburgh Academy for this summer’s fringe in a splendid production which runs only to the 12th.
Cornermen
★★★★☆ Assured
Broken dreams litter the world of boxing, and this is reflected in Cornermen, an impressive production from Authentically False Productions and New Celts at theSpace on the Mile on odd dates throughout the Fringe.
Operation Blank
★★★★★ Hysterical
Operation Blank is a sharp, tightly written, and hysterical one-person show with top-tier performances from George Grant, exploring the existentialism of corporate life, and how we all hate Microsoft Teams.
