The National Theatre of Scotland to stage Mayday, a one-night only, multi-performer “response to the times we are living through” at the Central Hall in Tollcross on May the first.

★★★★☆ Hugely affecting
The Light House from Alys Williams is a production of real emotional power. It appeared at the Traverse for one performance only at the start of an extensive Scottish tour, but should certainly be caught elsewhere by anyone who has the chance.

★★★★☆ Thought-provoking
The EUTC’s production of Art, at the Bedlam until Saturday, is compelling. It largely succeeds in navigating the many pitfalls hidden in the ostensibly straightforward, Tony Award-winning script.
