The moment Josh Wood’s 17-strong band strikes up, it is obvious that Happy Sad Productions are not here to mess around. To play, certainly, but Spamalot at Portobello Town Hall is a show with polish, intent and purpose.
Lear
★★★★☆ Compelling
Lear at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre is a powerful production, with Maureen Beattie’s towering central performance backed up by an excellent cast.
