The Bear
★★★★☆ Fast and furious
Chekov called his own short play, The Bear, a ‘stupid vaudeville’, but it takes smarts and sass to really bring it to life after nearly 140 years, and this production delivers hilariously.

Sweet from EGTG for week one of the Fringe only, explores a spirited and original tale of Edinburgh’s complicity in benefiting from the slave trade, and some of the women who stood up to campaign against it.
Jacuzzi by Twilight

Taking audiences to the streets of Metroville, Jacuzzi by Twilight is a fast-paced comedy, running on alternate (odd) dates with Edinburgh-based Optimiserables other show, Opportunity in Kind.

Staged in the bar of the Leith Arches events space off Leith Walk, Ships by Mark Forrest for Chapter Three Productions, is set in a very similar Leith bar in the late 1980s.
