Brian Cox solo show
Succession star for Playhouse in October
Dundee-born actor Brian Cox is heading out on his first ever solo tour, It’s All About Me, arriving at the Edinburgh Playhouse on Sunday October 5 2025 (tickets).
From Hannibal Lecter in Manhunter to media magnate Logan Roy in HBO’s Succession, Brian Cox has made his name as an actor of unparalleled distinction and versatility. Tickets for the 16 date tour go on sale Wednesday 25 June, with tickets for the Playhouse date on general sale here from 10am.
There are currently only two Scottish dates on the tour, with a second evening at Dundee’s Caird Hall on Wednesday 8 October.
In the first part of the show, Brian Cox will recount the journey of his life and career, from the backstreets of Dundee to the glittering lights of Hollywood, a journey that is full of laughter and pathos. Expect candour, searing honesty, and hilarious stories.
In Act 2, he will be joined on stage by producer Clive Tulloh, who will put questions to him from the audience.
“I am looking forward to this tour as it marks something a little different for me – sharing the stage with myself,” said Cox in a statement.
“As the title indicates, the show will focus more than ever on my life and career. In the second half, the tables are turned and the audience will have the chance to put their questions to me. It should be a lot of fun.”
Make it Happen
The tour opens in Northampton on Wed 1 Oct, with dates in Bristol (Thur 2 Oct), Oxford (Wed 15 Oct) and Liverpool (Sun 26 Oct) before arriving at the Adelphi Theatre, London on 4 November.
Tickets for all performances (linked below) go on sale at various times on Wednesday 25 June 2025.

Brian Cox is currently in rehearsal for Make it Happen in which he returns to the Scottish stage for the first time in a decade as Adam Smith, the ghost of fiscal past in James Graham’s play about the RBS collapse of 2008.
Make it Happen opens at Dundee Rep, where Cox made his stage debut 64 years ago, although the six nights (Fri 18 – Sat 25 July 2025) are already sold out.
It then plays 12 performances in the EIF at the Festival Theatre, from Wednesday 30 July to Saturday 9 August.
