EdFringe 2025: Youth and Student Theatre

Aug 3 2025 | By More

Edinburgh-made youth and student theatre at #EdFringe 2025

There’s a good showing from Edinburgh’s student and youth companies this year; the core of the 19 on offer remains the ten co-productions from the New Celts – a welcome initiative from Napier University to give their students a professional platform on the Fringe.

This allows the companies to explore some interesting ideas and gives audiences the opportunity to spot the stars of the future. Other of the student and university productions are no less interesting and keen to go into places that more conventional companies might not feel able.

There are also many youth and student companies in the Musicals listings, so do check over there too.

253 #MadeInEdinburgh shows

There are a total of 253 shows Made in Edinburgh at EdFringe this year – not including standup comedy and one-off talk shows.

In order to make things clearer, we have divided the listing up into eight parts. On this page you can find an alphabetical listing of productions by Edinburgh’s youth and student companies in the theatre section of the programme.

Here are the links to the seven other listings pages:

We are also proud to work with EPAD to produce and publish their annual listing of shows “created, performed or produced by Edinburgh’s theatre professionals” which is here.
