Edinburgh-made professional and funded theatre at EdFringe 2026

Here are the ten fully professional funded companies who have productions at this year’s Fringe. It is always a tricky balance here, so do check the 85 productions listed in the Grassroots section of the listings as well. They also have professional input, but are not in receipt of funding or other support.

We are listing a total of 195 shows Made in Edinburgh at #EdFringe this year – not including standup comedy.

In order to make things clearer, we have divided the listing up into seven parts. On this page you can find an alphabetical listing of theatre productions by Edinburgh’s amateur companies.

Eilidh Loan wrote and directed her critically acclaimed first play, Moorcroft, about her dad’s amateur football team. Her new comedy Cathy is inspired by her grandmother, who insisted that Elaine C Smith must play her and so she is. Further details.
