Lung Ha at 40: Spotlight on… Liza Gogoliuk
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Lung Ha Theatre Company, All Edinburgh Theatre has been delighted to collaborate with the award-winning professional company for actors and theatre makers who are autistic or learning-disabled.
Lung Ha have marked the occasion by commissioning a series of portraits of every member of its 24-strong ensemble from Edinburgh-based photographer Peter Dibdin. Æ has published the individual portraits over the year of celebrations (see our News story: Lung Ha hit 40). We have published a new spotlight on a different actor every fortnight.

Spotlight #24: Liza Gogoliuk
Our final spotlight is Liza Gogoliuk, who joined the company in 2022 and loves being in Lung Ha because she has lots of fun with the other actors, dancing and singing and laughing with them. When Liza is not at Lung Ha she likes sewing, art and music.

ACTOR Q&A
What do you think is the most fabulous thing about being an actor? Having the freedom to be myself, working with other actors, and having fun and laughing with them.
If you could give an aspiring actor one piece of advice, what would it be? It is okay to be nervous on stage in front of people, because everyone feels nervous and everyone is in the same boat as you.
40 years is a big milestone during which we look back but also look ahead! What are your hopes or ambitions for the future? I would like to be confident on stage as I can have quite bad stage fright.
