Calling Ally & Davy!
Stage Door callout for Sunshine on Leith
Stage Door Entertainment has put an amateur callout for performers to play Ally and Davy in their production of Sunshine on Leith at Portobello Town Hall in May.
The company say they have had an “amazing” response to their first round of auditions, but have still to find the right people to bring the iconic characters of squadies Ally and Davy to life.

“Ally and Davy are gallus, fun-loving mates on the surface,” Stage Door’s Aidan O’Brien told Æ. “But beneath that, they are war-scarred friends trying to find their place again in Leith.
“We’re looking for performers with charm, humour, heart, and the ability to belt out songs by The Proclaimers.”
Sunshine on Leith will play the Portobello Town Hall, Thursday 21 to Sunday 24 May 2026. Evening performances Thurs-Sat are at 7.30; matinee performances are Sat/Sun at 2pm.
