Support Æ for Xmas!
Buy your Xmas ticket gifts through our links
Here’s a big thank-you and Merry Christmas to all our readers and all the theatre folk in Edinburgh whose work makes our own work worth while. We have loved listing you and writing about you over the year.
Before we pause for Christmas, did you know that you can support All Edinburgh Theatre by buying tickets to shows through some of the links on our pages? Here’s how…
Æ has affiliate status with the Edinburgh Playhouse, the Glasgow King’s, the Glasgow Theatre Royal, Alhambra in Dunfermline, ATG theatres across the country, and for many West End shows. Buy their tickets using our links and you can support Æ as you do so – without any extra cost.
Simply click through from our listings pages for the Playhouse, King’s Glasgow and Glasgow Theatre Royal, or one of the links below, just before you buy the ticket.

Why support Æ?
At All Edinburgh Theatre we try to act as the website of record for all theatre in Edinburgh. We review as many performances as possible, naming performers and creatives, while providing what we hope are authoritative and independent critiques of the production.
We do this for all levels of theatre – big and small – but we hope to champion in particular Edinburgh’s huge number of grassroots and amateur companies, for whom we are often the only source of independent analysis.
We also provide an ongoing listings service for all theatre spaces and theatres in Edinburgh, as well as an auditions page, where companies can list their upcoming auditions.
We do so without any external financial support. It all comes from these affiliate links.
If you like what we do, when you buy a ticket for the Playhouse, go to a show in London’s West End or one of the two Glasgow venues with which we have an affiliate link, please use our listings and the links on this page to buy your ticket, which will give us a small commission from the tickets price.
Use our links with confidence
We only use affiliate links where they do not add anything to the amount you are paying for your ticket. Generally, that means buying directly from the venue.
Our links to Festival Theatres or the Lyceum are not through an affiliate, for example. You can buy tickets for them by using someone like Ticketmaster, with whom we are affiliates, but they will add a premium. So we use the cheapest links: direct to the venue.
Where we do have affiliate links we benefit by getting a small commission for each ticket sold. Which is why we go outside Edinburgh to include listings and links to Glasgow’s Theatre Royal and King’s theatres, in our Other Listings pages. They are part of the same ATG brand as the Playhouse, which has proved to be our strongest affiliate link.
For us to benefit from these links you need to click through directly from the site – either the links on this page or the listings pages – and allow cookies, so the purchase can be attributed to us.
Tickets
Our main affiliate is ATG Tickets (general link) specifically the Edinburgh Playhouse (direct link) as well as the Glasgow King’s (direct link) and the Glasgow Theatre Royal (direct link), for whom we carry full listings, with embedded affiliate links.
We are also affiliates with Ticketmaster, who sell tickets on behalf of the Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline. If you are visiting the Alhambra, do use this link to start your purchase.
If you are looking for tickets to any of ATG’s 27 venues across the UK outside the West End then this is the link to start from. It takes you to the full venue listing and you can then choose which venue from there.
London’s West End
If you going to one of ATG’s 11 London venues then this is the link to start from if you want to support us.
For other tickets in London, we have affiliate links to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s six LW Theatres – (click here) which says it guarantees the lowest tickets for those theatres.
If you are shopping around for tickets, then we have affiliate links with Love Theatre (click here), as well as with the sites London Theatres Direct (click here) and Theatre Tickets Direct (click here).
Gigs and stadium shows
If you are going to a gig, then Ticketmaster & TicketWeb handle an increasing number of shows. They also handle tickets for all the big shows at the SEC Glasgow, that is the OVO Hydro (link here) and SEC Armadillo (link here).
They do tickets for the O2 Arenas, as well. That is the O2 Academy Edinburgh (link here) and the O2 Academy Glasgow (link here). They handle tickets for some shows (but not all) at SWG3 in Glasgow (link here).
So do use the above links to start your search. If you are going to a show which has See Tickets or Eventim as its ticket sellers, those are the links to start from.
Many thanks for all your support, whether you use this links or simply read the website. Here’s to much more theatre in 2025!
