May dates for three comedians’ Town to Town tour

Town to Town, featuring comedians Rob Brydon, Lee Mack and David Mitchell, has booked nights at the Edinburgh Playhouse and Glasgow’s Theatre Royal in May 2022.

Tickets are now on sale for the shows which involved the trio in “an evening of chat, comedy, and general messing about”. They arrive at the Playhouse in Monday 23 May and the Glasgow Theatre Royal on Wednesday 25 May.

The three are best known as the regulars on TV’s Would I Lie to You? They previously took their off-the-cuff camaraderie off the telly and out on tour in 2019.

This new tour kicks off in in Torquay on May 9 and has seven dates, including Halifax, Ipswich and Oxford booked so far, through to Woking June 26.

Rob Brydon said: “I have so much to learn from these two older gentlemen, I can’t wait!”

Lee Mack said: “I can think of nothing better than being on the road with David and Rob. Well I can, but it feels inappropriate to bang on about it in a press release.”

David Mitchell added: “If the pandemic has taught us anything it’s to appreciate the simple, harmless pleasure of thinking up a quote for a press release.”

Presumably they will put as much thought into their on-stage banter.
