Four venues cancel shows
Playhouse, Traverse and Storytelling Centre closed.
All remaining performances of White Christmas at the Edinburgh Playhouse have been cancelled, as of Monday 20 December 2021 due to “issues surrounding Covid 19”.
Edinburgh Venues’ £1.7m Covid funds
Covid-19 money good news for staff and freelancers:
Four Edinburgh venues will share £1,719,200 from the Performing Arts Venues Relief Fund to help them stave off insolvency, secure staff jobs and provide opportunities for freelancers.

Details of the tenth Edinburgh MagicFest, taking place from 27 December 2019 to 5 January 2020, have been revealed, with a new Hogmanay event added at Lauriston Castle.
