It’s a week of big openers in smaller venues this week. The much anticipated James V: Katherine is at the Studio (Fri 5 – Sat 20: tickets) and the returning This is Memorial Device is at the Traverse (Wed – Sat: tickets).
Class Act: Ukraine Edition
Special Ukraine version of Trav’s flagship engagement project
The Traverse has announced a week-long version of its flagship schools engagement project, Class Act, working with young Ukrainians from across Scotland to create plays to be performed script-in-hand on Saturday 13 April 2024.

The Edinburgh University Footlights Showchoir just about knock it out the park with All Who Wander, their latest portmanteau show of musical theatre numbers, at the Magnusson Centre in the Edinburgh Academy to Saturday.

King’s Theatre upgrade approaches half way
The major redevelopment of the King’s theatre has reached the halfway mark, with the project nearly 50% complete according to Capital Theatres, the charity which runs the building.

EPT’s Encounter
EPT take on Emma Rice adaptation of Coward
Emma Rice’s adaptation of Brief Encounter, the David Lean 1945 film, is brought to the Church Hill Theatre stage by Edinburgh People’s Theatre for four performances only, this coming week, Wed 27 to Sat 30 March, 2024.
