Brigadoon looms out the mist again
Edinburgh’s oldest amateur musical theatre company take over the King’s this week with a new production of Brigadoon, the musical about a Highland village which appears only one day every century.

It’s seventy years since Oklahoma! first took to the Broadway stage, with its gorgeous, downbeat opening of Oh What a Beautiful Morning, sung by cowboy Curly to the butter-churning Aunt Eller.

Review – Copacabana
★★★☆☆ Passionate:
The music and the passion are right in place in Allegro’s bright production of Copacabana at the Church Hill Theatre until Saturday. But while the fashion is frothy – and the dresses are, on occasion, “cut down to there” – it doesn’t go as far in that direction as it might.
