Reviving a 30-year-old sitcom as a stage musical might seem a safe bet, or an exercise in nostalgia. This is far from the case with The High Life. The touring production is vibrant, joyous and utterly hilarious.

Make It Happen at the Festival Theatre has all of the trappings of an Event with a capital E. Even if it doesn’t quite justify that status, it is impressive.
WILF
★★★☆☆ Encouragingly filthy
There is a pleasingly unruly feel to James Ley’s new play WILF, this year’s seasonably unseasonal offering from the Traverse. Full of heart, not to mention dialogue that would have given the Lord Chamberlain palpitations, it overcomes structural difficulties to produce a successful whole.
