Grassroots group seeks to evaluate theatre in Edinburgh
A new grassroots grouping has put out a survey, aimed at all of Edinburgh’s theatre companies and theatre-makers, in an attempt to find out the size and nature of the city’s theatrical community as well as the resources available to it.
Accidental Death of an Anarchist
★★★★☆ Timely
Arkle Theatre Company mix humour and deadly reality at the Hill Street Theatre, in their take on Accidental Death of an Anarchist, a farce that keeps living up to its genre with more and more irony.
prism
★★★☆☆ Intriguing
prism, Production Lines’ latest venture into live, interactive online theatre, is very much a curate’s egg. Much of it is interesting and well played, but other parts are less well realised.
The Lark
★★★★☆ Fiery:
There is fire in the belly of EGTG’s telling of The Lark – Jean Anouilh’s take on the story of Joan of Arc – at Bellfield in Portobello to Saturday.
