Forbes confirms “up to £40m” for Culture
The Scottish government has announced further Covid relief of “up to £40 million” for the culture sector, of which £25 million is earmarked for venues.

Creative Scotland has confirmed that actors, dancers and other performers will be eligible to access the Scottish government’s £5 million Hardship Fund for Creative Freelancers.

Second wave of Covid funds announced:
Six Edinburgh organisations have received a total of £955,698 as part of the £5m Performing Arts Venue Relief Fund, the second round of government support, administered by Creative Scotland and announced on Thursday 24 September 2020.

The Scottish Government has allocated a further £57m of the £97m barnet consequentials reserved for the covid-19 response to the cultural sector.
Reopening Date for Theatres
September Date planned for Scottish Theatres:
Scottish theatres will be allowed to reopen with physical distancing in place on Monday 14 September 2020, if plans announced by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon go ahead.
