Wish You Were Dead
★★☆☆☆ Lacks Grace
Two days after the latest series of Grace left our TV screens, Detective Superintendent Roy Grace is back on stage in Edinburgh in Wish You Were Dead, Shaun McKenna’s sixth adaption of a Peter James novel.
Looking Good Dead
★★☆☆☆ Unfortunate
Subtle as a bulldozer and only sporadically gripping, Looking Good Dead, which is at the King’s all week, works on one level as undemanding entertainment, but is not exactly guaranteed to have the crowds flocking back to the theatres.
Sherlock Holmes: The Final Curtain
★★☆☆☆ Undemanding:
A lavish staging and some spirited performances cannot redeem a thin script in the Theatre Royal Bath and Kenny Wax’s touring production of Sherlock Holmes: The Final Curtain, at the King’s until Saturday.
