Christmas Carol Goes Wrong
★★★★☆ Tight
Mischief Theatre go back to basics in their adaptation for the stage of the 2017 smash hit TV show, Christmas Carol Goes Wrong at the Festival Theatre to Sunday. And their greatest creation, the Cornley Drama Society, are all the better for it.
Magic Goes Wrong
★★★★☆ Cleverly stupid
Magic Goes Wrong is the latest touring offering from Mischief Theatre, the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong and its sequels. It represents a return to their comic roots, together with a considerable sprinkling of glitter.
Groan Ups
★★★☆☆ Flat
While there is real energy and commitment in Mischief Theatre’s Groan Ups at the King’s, it is in the service of a script that probably doesn’t deserve such efforts.
The Comedy About A Bank Robbery
★★★☆☆ Spectacular:
There are plenty of laughs to be had in the touring Comedy About A Bank Robbery at the King’s. There are also a couple of gasp-inducing coups de theatre.
