Keir McAllister
The Intervention
★★★☆☆ Support required
The Intervention, by Watch This Space Productions and Gilded Balloon, playing the Billiard Room in Teviot all Fringe, is a black comedy where two friends meet after not seeing each other for two years.
Madame George
★★★☆☆ Great chemistry:
Madame George, by award winning playwright Keir McAllister at Gilded Balloon Patter Hoose on Chambers Street, is a dark comedy filled with easy laughs that are tinged with a great sadness.
A Split Decision
✭✭✩✩✩ Lacking conviction
Some satirical humour can be found in Keir McAllister’s referendum comedy A Split Decision in Studio Two at the Assembly Rooms, but overall it must be counted as a missed opportunity.
St Andrew Square to be fringe venue
St Andrew Square will be used as an official part of the Fringe for the first time this August, as Salt ‘n’ Sauce promotions puts three venues into the area as part of the Assembly Rooms Fringe.
