Review – The Poor Mouth
Magnificent theatricality marks out this clever touring adaptation of Flann O’Brien’s great satire from Irish company Blue Raincoat, which is at the Traverse and touring to the Tron in Glasgow.
★★★☆☆ Curiouser and curiouser:
While it is difficult to go too far wrong with Alice In Wonderland, it can definitely be done. Blue Raincoat Theatre’s version uses enough of the book to satisfy, but its own slant on the story does not quite convince.
★★★☆☆ Committed
There is an undeniable poetic charm to Blue Raincoat’s Shackleton, at the Traverse to Friday and touring to the Tron next week.
