Samuel Clarke
The Seagull
★★★☆☆ Well crafted
The Seagull, from EUTC at the Bedlam until Sunday, is a fastidious, even reverential production that largely succeeds but does sometimes struggle to find its own identity.
The Picture of Dorian Gray
★★★★☆ Shining
Young grassroots company Court Jester Theatre give an entertaining take on Oscar Wilde’s novel The Picture of Dorian Gray in a nicely twisting new version which isn’t precious about its vocabulary.
Cam, Die With Me
★★★★☆ Impressively spooky
Cam, Die With Me, upstairs at the Assembly Roxy for one performance only, is a horror spoof which takes a silly pun then riffs and stretches it out into a remarkably successful piece of comedy.
