Southern Light
It’s the community’s King’s!
Community companies first on King’s stage
Seven of Edinburgh’s community theatre companies will be joining panto favourites Clare Gray and Gail Watson for A Great Night Out, the very first test production on the King’s Theatres newly revamped stage.
Guys and Dolls
★★★★☆ Accomplished
Southern Light’s take on Guys and Dolls at the Festival Theatre is beautifully sung, acted with comic glee, and falls only just short of greatness.
Jesus Christ Superstar
★★★★☆ It’s the buzz
Southern Light blaze onto the Festival Theatre stage with their production of the Lloyd Webber & Rice rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, tackling this modern classic with a monstrous cast and ambitious production values.
The Music Man
★★★★☆ Massive
Huge production numbers and constant energy dominate Southern Light’s The Music Man at the Festival Theatre. Undeniably frothy and not a little silly, it has a scale and magnetism that draw the audience in.
