The Cher Show
★★★★☆ Boisterous
Allegro come out canny with their big and incorrigibly bold production of The Cher Show at the Church Hill Theatre to Saturday, engaging fully with Cher’s story, her hits and the legend she has become.
Popstars The 90s Musical
★★★★☆ Well risen:
Light in substance and heavy on the cheese, Allegro’s production of Popstars the 90s Musical which is at the Church Hill Theatre to Saturday feels more like a soufflé than a 90s jukebox musical.
Bohemians Reimagined
★★★★☆ Entertaining:
The Bohemians add a new twist to some of musical theatre’s most-loved songs in Bohemians Reimagined at the Stockbridge Church.
Rock of Ages
★★★☆☆ Codpiece rock-out:
Big and silly, much like the hair, Allegro’s production of retro Eighties soft-rock musical Rock of Ages at the Church Hill knows how to hit the highs with ease.
From Broadway to Hollywood
★★★☆☆ Hearing impaired:
A few minutes into this concert by The Bohemians Lyric Opera Company at St Cuthbert’s Church I wanted to walk out. But I wanted to take the singers and musicians with me.
