Nativity! The Musical, Captivate Theatre’s seasonal offering at Fettes, is ideal Christmas fare. Full of joy and melody, it sometimes lacks polish, but never lacks heart.
My Fair Lady
★★★★★ Simply Loverly
Lerner and Loewe’s classic musical, My Fair Lady, warms hearts in a chilly Playhouse, where it is in residency into the New Year, with a sumptuous, but not soulless, production.

Edinburgh International Magic Festival dates
Edinburgh’s MagicFest takes place across the city from 17-31 December, featuring international stars including Edinburgh’s own Kevin Quantum and Spanish winner of the Magic World Championships, Héctor Mancha.

If you are hankering for a proper family panto after missing out in recent years, you could hardly do better than Edinburgh People’s Theatre’s Babes in the Wood, at the Church Hill until Sunday 18th December.

Once Upon a Snowstorm at the Traverse is a gentle, snowy tale based on Richard Johnson’s picture book, adapted and directed by Jo Timmins, that totally engages its target audience of children aged 5 – 8 and their parents.
