Christmas Week Listings

Shows to get you in the holiday mood…

There is a full card of productions to see in Edinburgh this week before Christmas, with availability for nearly every show (but not every performance) and something for most tastes.

Here’s a full listing of what is on this week, but first a note of sold out performances. It is always worth checking for returns, however.

The Brunton’s excellent local pantomime Sinbad has sold out every performance this week, apart from the Friday evening performance at 7pm.

The ballet production of The Nutcracker at Rose St Theatre is all but sold out, with availability for the 4pm performances on Tue 20 and Wed 21 only.

Both the big panto Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Festival Theatre and An Edinburgh Christmas Carol have availability for all performances, although it is limited to single seats in this week before Christmas.

At the Traverse, the 2pm performances of Once Upon a Snowstorm are all returns only, but there is availability for the 6pm performances.

Macastory have added an extra performance of their Jack And The Beanstalk at the Scottish Storytelling Festival at 11am on Thursday due to demand.

Tickets are going well for Magician Kevin Quantum’s Christmas Special at the Church Hill Theatre, but there are enough seats available for a family of four to sit together for every performance.

There is availability for every performance of The Gift at the Studio Theatre on Potter Row, although tickets are selling fast for some shows. Aimed at a 2 to 5 year-old audience, this is unallocated seating, so there are no issues of single tickets only.

There is availability for all performances of My Fair Lady at the Playhouse, as you might expect for a venue with 3,000 seats. However, the best seats have long gone for some performances.
