ATG Venues now closed to June 28 2020

Venue operator ATG has announced that all its UK venues, including the Playhouse in Edinburgh and the King’s and Theatre Royal in Glasgow will be closed at least until 28 June 2020 due to Covid-19.

With the rescheduling of the June/July dates for Book of Mormon to 2021, this means that the Edinburgh Playhouse is currently planned to reopen on July 7 with the tour of Heathers the Musical. Full details of cancelled and rescheduled shows are on our Playhouse Listings page (here).

The Glasgow King’s is currently scheduled to reopen with comedian Paul Smith on Friday 3 July, with the Glasgow Theatre Royal scheduled to reopen on Monday 29 June with the tour of The Cat and the Canary. Details of cancelled and rescheduled shows are on our pages for Glasgow Kings listings (here) and Glasgow Theatre Royal listings (here).

Tickets for all performances that have confirmed rescheduled dates, will be automatically moved into the new production dates, and ticket holders will be informed by email.

ATG says that all customers for shows that have cancelled – or not yet been rescheduled – will be issued with a full credit voucher, including all fees, valid until the end of December 2021. Full credit vouchers or refunds are available for all cancelled shows.

The company says that it is currently contacting customers whose original tickets were for performances up to 31 May. Customers booked for performances between Monday 1 and Sunday 14 June will be contacted in the week commencing Monday 11 May 2020.

Customers booked for performances between Monday 15 and Sunday 28 June will be contacted in the week commencing Monday 1 June.

However, ATG has pointed out that it only deals with tickets it has sold itself – by phone, in person or on its websites. People with tickets booked through a different ticketing site, such as Ticketmaster, will have to go to them for refunds.
