Brunton postpones V1 shows
Weekend shows postponed by roof inspection
The Brunton theatre in Musselburgh has extended its temporary closure to its Venue I, while the roof is inspected following the discovery of structural issues within the theatre space during planned roofing inspection work on Wednesday.
Performances of The Story of the Guitar on Friday 17 March and Que Sera Sera on Saturday 18 March will be rescheduled due to the ongoing inspections. A new date for the performances has yet to be set.
The performance of the Counterfeit 60s on Friday 24 March 2023 has also had to be postponed. A new date of Saturday 29 April 2023 has been set and Box Office will update all current ticket holders and move current bookings to new date.
The news follows the shock announcement on Wednesday 15 March (Brunton temporary closure) that the Brunton’s theatre space would be closed temporarily, following the discovery of structural issues during planned roofing inspection work.
Last night’s screening of The Fabelmans and Saturday 18 March’s performance of Unbecoming by Company of Wolves have already been cancelled.
The theatre is still selling tickets for Venue 1 productions next week. There is a screening of the ROH production of Puccini’s Turandot scheduled for Wednesday 22 March and two performances of tribute act A Vision Of Elvis 2023 on Saturday 25 March 2023.
The Brunton made the latest announcements via Twitter this afternoon, Thursday 16 March 2023.
