The current status of Edinburgh’s theatres due to Covid-19

Edinburgh’s Theatres initially all declared themselves open to business as usual, but as the Covid-19 situation changed, they went dark one by one.

This page contains the current open or closed status of each Edinburgh theatre.

Following the Scottish Government’s advice to suspend all gatherings of over 500 people and the UK Government’s advice for people to shun social gatherings altogether, nearly every Edinburgh theatre has now gone dark.

We will be creating a historical timeline page to document the closure of  the theatres due to Covid-19 and  keep this page updated in anticipation that theatres will begin to reopen at some point.
