Everybody’s Talking About Jamie has a score by Dan Gillespie Sells with book and lyrics by Tom MacRae. It is based on the true story of Jamie Campbell, famously featured in the BBC Three documentary Jamie: Drag Queen at 16.

The hit West-End musical follows Jamie New, a 16-year-old, who doesn’t quite fit in. Instead of pursuing a traditional career, he dreams of becoming a drag queen. Uncertain about his future, Jamie knows one thing for sure – he’s going to be a sensation.

Supported by his loving mother and amazing friends, Jamie overcomes discrimination and bullying to step out of the darkness – and into the spotlight.

versatile cast

FCT’s creative adviser Lewis Baird said “This production requires a versatile cast therefore we are on the hunt for a talented, energetic and fabulous company to hit the Broughton High School stage this August.

“We are particularly keen to hear from members of the LGBTQ+ community. As well as young performers of all ethnicities to help build a diverse company for this production.”
