Outspoken comedian Frankie Boyle is to stage what he says is his first “proper” Scottish tour in over a decade in Autumn 2019, including two nights at the Edinburgh Playhouse.

Boyle will take his new Full Power show out on the road after extensive work-in-progress shows. There are five venues so far on sale, starting from the Ayr Gaiety on Wed 21 August and His Majesties Aberdeen on Tue 27 August.

He will play Oban’s Corran Halls on Mon 2 September, the Edinburgh Playhouse on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 September and the Glasgow King’s on Tue 1 October 2019,

Commenting the material he will perform on the tour Boyle tweeted: “The Scottish dates are mostly new stuff (since the last album) and some bits from the albums.

“It’s all new since the last DVD, but if you’re one of those people who doesn’t want to hear anything they’ve heard before, this is not the show for you.”

According to the show publicity Boyle: “presents his sense of mounting horror in the form of stand-up comedy, Including some of the best bits from his recent Prometheus albums.

“If you enjoy going to a theatre and seeing Frankie Boyle do a stand-up show, then this is the show for you.”

There is an age recommendation of 16+ for the show, with tickets limited to six per purchase. Shows will include a 20 minute support and 60 minute set from Boyle. All but the Edinburgh dates will be filmed for his new TV series.

UPDATE August 2019
Boyle has added six new dates to his tour. Four in Glasgow, one in Aberdeen and a new venue at Card Hall in Dundee. The October 1 date in Glasgow and September 27 date in Aberdeen are now sold out.
