West End hit musical on tour in 2020
Westerberg High is coming to the Edinburgh Playhouse in July 2020, as Heathers The Musical sets out on a UK tour.
The high octane, black comedy, rock musical is based on the 1989 cult teen movie starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. It sets off from Brighton in May, storming into Edinburgh July 7 to 11, with nine dates on the tour confirmed and more to come.

In Westerberg High, popularity is so very a matter of life and death, and Veronica Sawyer is just another of the nobodies dreaming of a better day.
But when she’s unexpectedly taken under the wings of the three beautiful and impossibly cruel Heathers, her dreams of popularity finally start to come true.
Until JD turns up, the mysterious teen rebel who teaches her that it might kill to be a nobody, but it’s murder being a somebody.
highest grossing show
Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy’s musical adaptation become the highest grossing show at Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Other Palace before transferring to the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
The 2020 tour opens at Brighton Theatre Royal in May (26 to 30) with confirmed dates at the Liverpool Empire (9 to 13) June), Wales Millennium Centre (16 to 20 June) and Sheffield Lyceum (23 to 27 June) and Edinburgh Playhouse (7 to 11 July).
It then visits Milton Keynes Theatre (14 to 18 July), Sunderland Empire (21 to 25 July), Bristol Hippodrome (28 July to 1 August ) and New Wimbledon Theatre (22 to 26 September).
The 2020 Class of Westerberg High and the timetable for the full term of the tour will be announced at a future date.
The musical is produced by Bill Kenwright and Paul Taylor-Mills. Direction is by Andy Fickman, with choreography by Gary Lloyd, design by David Shields, lighting by Ben Cracknell and sound by Dan Samson.
