Noise bleed forces move for RLS play

Hyde & Seek, Michael Daviot’s show which has been plagued by noise-bleed at C-Nova on Cockburn Street, is to move to a new building within the C family of venues.

From Thursday 14 August, Hyde & Seek will play the main C venue at Adam House on Chambers Street, with a later starting time of 8.50pm.

Noise bleeding seems to be a growing problem at this year’s fringe as the concentration of venues increases, particularly in the Old Town around the Cockburn Street area where gap sites are being occupied by temporary structures.

Speaking of the new venue, Daviot said: “It’s a beautiful space, with a raked and comfortably seated auditorium – and is blissfully undisturbed by shouty microphones etcetera!”

The hour-long show will now run from August 14 to 25 in the new space: C+3. Tickets are £8.50-£10.50, depending on the day of the week with a £2 discount for concessions.

Special Offer: Æ readers who quote “L**g J**n S****r” at the box office for the Thursday 14 show can get in at the concessionary rate of £7.50.
