Cinderella

Cinderella
★★★☆☆ High Spirited
St Serf’s Players continue their successful panto collaboration with the Trinity Theatre Company for a Cinderella at Inverleith St Serf’s Church Hall that is gutsy and brisk in all the right ways.

Cinderella The Panto
★★★★☆ Melodious
Balerno Theatre Company’s Christmas show at the Church Hill is a treat for all ages. Cinderella The Panto is stuffed full of tunes, features some pleasingly old-school pantomime business and is performed with a great deal of heart.

King’s Cinders nommed in panto awards
Cinderella gets two nods in panto awards:
Cinderella, the 2017/18 Edinburgh King’s pantomime, has received two nominations in the Great British Pantomime Awards – for its script and its baddie.

Bourne’s Cinders for Fest Theatre
June 2018 date for Matthew Bourne’s Cinderella:
Matthew Bourne’s Olivier award-winning ballet of Cinderella is to play Edinburgh’s Festival Theatre in June as part of a major UK tour which starts this Christmas at Sadler’s Wells in London.

Cinderella
★★★★☆ Gorgeous:
Shona Reppe’s puppet version of Cinderella at the Traverse until Christmas Eve is a thing of airy, subtle wonder.

Cinderella
★★★★☆ Still Sparkling:
This year’s King’s pantomime – Cinderella – is a more plot-driven and less reliant on effects than many of recent years. It also lacks some of the more interactive elements of panto, but for sheer fun and laughter it scores very highly indeed.

The Ash Girl
★★★☆☆ Dark tales
Christmas theatre has come early and in the darkest of garb to the Assembly Roxy as the 3rd year MGA acting students give an intriguing account of Timberlake Wertenbaker’s The Ash Girl.
