VL, from Francesca Moody Productions, at Roundabout @ Summerhall throughout the Fringe, will delight anyone who has ever been a worried teenager. Or anyone who appreciates comedy.

★★★★☆ More than a sex comedy
ADULTS, the new play from Kieran Hurley, writer of 2019 hit Mouthpiece, brings Conleth Hill, currently starring in the Power of Parker and known to many for his role in Game of Thrones, to the Edinburgh Fringe.
The Enemy
★★★☆☆ Fussy
The Enemy, Kieran Hurley’s updating of Ibsen for The National Theatre of Scotland at the King’s this week, is an uneven proposition. Much of the production is timely and compelling, and the acting is excellent, but other elements cohere less convincingly.
NTS takes on Orphans

Gareth Nicholls and Debbie Hannan have been appointed as co-artistic directors of the Traverse Theatre Company as the theatre announces a new structure and new faces in its artistic leadership team.

There is much to admire about the staging of Mouthpiece at the Traverse, and even more about how it is acted. In the end, however, the play tantalises rather than delivers.
Edinburgh Dominates CATS
Edinburgh companies win big at CATS:
Half the winners at this year’s Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland are Edinburgh-based productions, with the Lyceum winning three and the Traverse with Red Bridge Arts, two awards.
