The Traverse is to host a benefit for the Mercy Corps to help support relief in Haiti on Sunday 7th February with a cabaret night of comedy, live music, dancing, auctions and sideshow antics.

According to the organisers: “host Johnny McKnight will be joined by comedian Craig Hill, playwright David Greig with his very small instrument, the lovely chanteuse Clare Knight (Iona from River city), sideshow Robert, Future Woman and the Wheelie Priest.”

DJ Grandma Staflasch, Balkanarama’s resident septugenarian DJ, will also be playing the best of Balkanbeats to help keep the dancing going until kicking out time.

Tickets on the door with a recommended entry fee of £10-£15 – and “an abundance of exclusive treats being auctioned on the night”. Sunday 7 February, 7pm-11pm.
