Marwick’s VPT debut
Village Pub Theatre gets Eurotrashy
Xana Marwick will make her VPT debut this next Tuesday, 20 October 2015, as the short-form theatre specialists take on the theme of Europe.
“For one night only, The Village Pub will be declared an independent EU state and will be hosting a night of fun and frolics based on all things European,” according to the latest VPT missive.
“Our continental selection of writers have explored the theme in many different ways with plays ranging from 90s culture and backpacking to the migrant crisis.”
Marwick, who describes herself as a “performance maker” and directed both Hup for the RSNO and Starcatchers earlier this year and the Lyceum Youth Theatre production of Mancub, joins regular VPT playwrights Belle Jones, James Ley, Helen Shutt and Jonathan Holt.
The VPT team add: “We look forward to seeing you there and will otherwise be found experimenting alternately with traditional European baking recipes and how to go to the toilet wearing lederhosen.
“Fancy dress is optional but we will as always encourage a high level of leather and PVC.”
