Peter Pan on Dinosaur Island – Junior review

✭✭✭✩✩   Lots of dinosaurs

Spotlites (Venue 278): Tue 4 – Sun 30 Aug 2015

Peter Pan on Dinosaur Island was a play. It wasn’t the usual story of Peter Pan.

It was about Peter Pan mysteriously ending up on an island with lots of dinosaurs. He didn’t know it was Dinosaur Island – he thought it was Neverland.

It was interactive and they got people to come on stage. I thought they did it too much. Children put their hands up if they wanted to go on stage and some children had been on stage and wanted to go again. The dinosaurs were like skeletons. It was hard to see them because nearly all the time it was misty.

It wasn’t what I expected. Instead of Tinkerbell there was Stinkerbell. There were too many swords. On the leaflet Captain Hook had a moustache and a beard but in the play Captain Hook didn’t have a beard or a moustache and I didn’t like that. I didn’t like that Wendy was older and neither did Peter Pan.

It was fast and had lots of action. There was lots of spooky music. It was funny when most of the audience threw dinosaur droppings at one of the pirates and the bad dinosaur.

It would be suitable for ages seven and up. It is too scary for people younger.
