Scottish Premiere for Addams Family
MGA raise the dead at the King’s
The MGA Academy of Performing Arts are bringing the Scottish premiere of The Addams Family to Edinburgh for three performances only this weekend.

Playing the Edinburgh King’s, the musical is based on the characters created by Charles Addams in his single-panel cartoons, rather than the TV sitcom or film spin-offs.
It features a plot where the ultimate goth teenager Wednesday Addams brings home her new – and very normal – boyfriend Lucas Beineke and his parents Mal and Alice.

It’s not all love, though. When both youngsters ask their families to act normal alarm bells start going off – and Uncle Fester steps in to enlist the family’s help during the annual Addams family gathering where all family members (living, dead, and undecided) celebrate what it is to be an Addams.
The musical was a bit too quirky for the New York critics on its first Broadway outing in 2010, but it was a hit with the audiences.
The MGA Accademy production is directed by Andrew Gowland, choreographed by Murray Grant with musical direction by Simon Hanson and costume design by Candious Kirkland.
